GRETSCH Cherry Stave mod 6514 Snare Drum These drums are made in Cherry, Mahogany and Maple. Mahogany gives a deeper sound. Maple and Cherry are similar, but Cherry tends to be that little bit brighter. The shell is made from 30 precisely cut pin-fit staves of 7/8” thickness. 45 degree bearing edge. The shell is finished in clear Satin. 20-Strand snare and Triple flanged hoops are fitted. The drum is very sensitive and very heavy.
