The Roland RMP-5 Rhythm Coach Electronic Drum Pad Practice Trainer is a great practice tool for drummers. It has a mesh head so the feel is realistic and you can attach a bass drum pedal and cymbal pad / trigger (using a splitter cable) to make a small practice kit. I used this setup for a while before upgrading to a full electronic kit. The rhythm training features available are excellent. Comes with working BOSS power supply as recommended.
