This is a handmade 18" South Indian Mridangam made of Jackwood. Made in India, this unit is designed for traditional folk and world music performances. The mridangam is also played in Carnatic concerts in countries outside of India, including Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States.
